If you happen to be a daring person who also likes adventure, this hotel will be completely to your liking. Embedded in thick vegetation, surrounded by mountains, and accompanied by a beautiful lake that rests at its feet, this place is definitely the golden dream for nature lovers.
It was built amid the forest canopy of Yelapa, Jalisco, Mexico, in 2007, and its construction took only four weeks. This rustic-modern aesthetic hotel was designed by Heinz Legler, who used to own a film set construction company, and Veronique Lievre, previously a set decorator from Paris. They started this project as their personal hideaway, but ended up with a five-acre hotel property with an infinity pool, a spa, restaurants, a yoga hut, and eight guest rooms.
A recent expansion led to the construction of the V Houses, which consist of five units that are real steel-structured towers, using wood as cladding. The design itself is focused on the experience of the spectacular views that are seen from that height. In addition, each of the rooms is connected to the next through floating wooden walkways. The route is surrounded by abundant tropical foliage and, from there, a nearby bay can be seen.
